Our Corten steel products come with a 3-year warranty. Models with a black finish come with a 2-year warranty. This warranty covers manufacturing defects as well as any issues that may arise during normal use.
NB: The black finish adds an elegant and refined touch to your fire pit.
The paint used is specially designed to withstand high temperatures. However, its resistance to UV rays and friction is more limited.
In the event of a scratch, the protection of the steel may be locally reduced, which can lead to the appearance of corrosion.
To prevent any spread, we offer, upon request, a bottle of paint touch-up with a brush for carrying out local touch-ups.
To preserve your fire pit:
- Avoid prolonged shocks, scratches or friction.
- Clean only with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.
Seasoning is necessary upon first use.
Find all our usage tips in the “ Documentation ” and “ FAQ ” sections.
Once seasoning is complete, here's how to use your fire pit:
- Use well-dried wood (less than 10% humidity), ideally beech, oak or ash, to limit smoke and obtain good embers.
- Place 10 x 35 cm logs, bark facing outwards, no more than 5 cm under the griddle.
-Place a firelighter conforming to EN 1860-3 in the center, then light it with a long match.
-Never use alcohol or gasoline and always wear gloves, the parts of the brazier become hot quickly.
Maintenance - Corten Brazier
Corten steel fire pits offer an elegant natural patina. A simple occasional rinse with clean water and a soft brush is enough to remove dirt and debris.
To maintain a uniform color, gently apply a thin layer of vegetable oil (such as linseed or rapeseed) once or twice a year. Be careful of rust drips, which can stain surrounding surfaces: protect sensitive areas well.
Maintenance - Black brazier
To preserve the high-temperature black finish, clean the fire pit with clean water and a soft sponge. For stubborn stains, apply a neutral, non-abrasive soap, then rinse and dry thoroughly to prevent corrosion. Avoid harsh products, rough sponges, or solvents that could damage the paint.
Protecting your fire pit is essential to ensure its longevity. It is strongly recommended that you use the protective cover whenever your fire pit is no longer in use (sold separately, available in our packs).
