Our fire pit grills benefit from a guarantee covering manufacturing defects as well as possible problems arising during normal use.
Corten steel models are guaranteed for 10 years. Naturally weather-resistant, Corten develops a characteristic protective patina over time which contributes to its longevity.
Models with finish black are guaranteed for 2 years. Their high temperature paint offers long-lasting protection, but remains naturally more sensitive to UV, friction and shock. In the event of a scratch, slight oxidation may appear locally. A touch-up bottle with brush can be provided to you upon simple request in order to easily restore the finish.
⚠️ Important : In a coastal environment, salty air can accelerate the aging of materials and finishes.
For the fire pit grills in Corten steel installed less than 20 km from the coast, the warranty is limited to 3 years, compared to 10 years under normal conditions of use.
For black models, paint damage or corrosion phenomena linked to exposure to salt air are not covered by the warranty.
At first use, seasoning is necessary.
Find all our tips for use in the sections "Documentation" and "FAQs".
Once seasoning is complete, here is how to use your fire pit grill :
- Use very dry wood (less than 10% humidity), ideally beech, oak or ash, to limit smoke and obtain good embers.
- Arrange 10 x 35 logs cm, peels outwards, without exceeding 5 cm under the plancha.
- Place a matching fire starter in the center, then light it with a long match.
- Never use alcohol or gasoline and always wear gloves, parts of the fire pit grill quickly become hot.
Maintenance - Fire pit grill Corten
The fire pit grills in Corten steel offer an elegant natural patina. A simple occasional rinse with clean water with a soft brush is enough to remove dirt and debris.
Avoid harsh chemicals or cleaning products, which could alter the natural patina.
To maintain a uniform color, delicately apply a thin layer of vegetable oil (flax or rapeseed type) once or twice a year. Be vigilant against rust runs, which can stain surrounding surfaces: protect sensitive areas well.
Maintenance - Fire pit grill black
To preserve the finish black high temperature, clean it fire pit grill with clean water and a soft sponge.
For stubborn stains, apply a neutral, non-abrasive soap, then rinse and dry completely to prevent corrosion.
Avoid aggressive products, rough sponges or solvents which could damage the paint.
Protecting your fire pit grill is imperative to guarantee its longevity. It is strongly recommended to use the protective cover as soon as your fire pit grill is out of order (sold separately, available in our bundles).
